Summary
Since the publication of the first and second editions, fungal ecology has experienced great progress. This new edition addresses a number of current ecological concepts, and approaches the concept of fungal communities from an ecological perspective rather than from a fungicentric view. The objective remains that of interfacing mycological data with ecological theory, and the present edition comprises over 40 chapters written by internationally renowned mycologists and ecologists. The book bridges the gap between disciplines and provides a framework for integrating fungal activity over spatial and temporal scales of resolution.
Table of Contents
Structure of Fungal Communities; Function of Fungal Communities; Human Impacts on Fungal Communities and Their Function; Preserving Fungal Communities.
